Willkommen
Welcome
I don't know how, but you landed on by personal homepage. Either because you know me, or you want to know me. If you came here by mere coincidence, consider yourself lucky :)
In both ways welcome and feel free to take a closer look at my little personal space in the vastnesses of the world wide web.
White boxes around menu items?

Why are there so ugly white boxes around the menuitems? Well they are there because you are probably using a browser that doesn't support alpha transparency in png images. Why do I use such a fancy thing if major browsers do not spport it? Well png was first introduced in 1996 which is now almost 9 years ago, so it's anything else than fancy new.
What version did our beloved internet explorer have back then 2.0, 3.0 or already 4.0? I don't know for sure, but it's for certain, that there was enough time to add this little nice feature without any nasty workarounds into IE.
So what choices do you have, to enjoy this site in all its glory?
- Switch to an alternative browser that supports png to it's full extend: Firefox or Opera. They are both free and won't harm your PC (anymore than IE). To read more about alternative browsers got to: Too Cool for IE
- Wait until Internet Explorer 7 will be released, or try the beta available here, which will finally support png images.
- Hope that enough people will complain about these white boxes and I'll have to go back to gifs or an alpha png hack.
